As today is the official launch of Monty the Maestro and his Marvellous Magical Orchestra, I would like to take a moment and say thank you to a number of people who have worked behind the scenes to help me bring Monty and his friends to life.
Today we have launched our brand new website, released our title story as a 32-page picture book and three separate downloadable audio books. Each part of the journey has involved working with a number of wonderful people to make it all come together.
I would like to say a big thank you to our wonderful illustrator Kate Slater. Kate specialises in collage illustration and it was her approach that drew me to her work a number of years ago. We are now in the depths of developing the first set of Monty picture books and having a great time! Twitter: @kateslater
I would like to thank Charlotte Gallagher, the voice and narrator behind the Monty the Maestro audiobooks. We had a huge amount of fun doing the recording and have lots more great treats in store for you soon. Twitter: @CharlottieG
A big shout out to Sam Featherstone for producing the Monty recording session at Price Studios – London and to Georgie Leo, Joseph Fisher, Davina Shum and Mark Lipski for their performances on our Vanessa, Violet, Chip and Digby audiobooks.
I would also like to say a big thank you to Connie Dickson for designing our Monty logo, website and for helping me bring the stories, illustrations and music together – Twitter: @conniedickson and to My Future Cloud for building the website and bringing it to life – Twitter:@MyFutureCloud
